Torry Holt

Torry Jabar Holt (born June 5, 1976 in Greensboro, North Carolina), nicknamed "Big Game", is an NFL wide receiver who currently plays for the St. Louis Rams. He is the older brother of Detroit Lions safety Terrence Holt.

Holt attended North Carolina State University and played wide receiver for the football team from 1995-1998. In his senior year Holt was named Atlantic Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Year. That season he set ACC records of 88 receptions for 1,604 yards and an NC State record of 16 touchdown catches.
Holt was the sixth overall draft pick in the 1999 NFL draft and the first selection made by the St. Louis Rams. In his rookie season he posted 53 receptions, 788 total yards, and six touchdowns as a key contributor to the Rams' Super Bowl XXXIV championship, though he had yet to break out as a star at that point. He did break out in 2000, though, when he started his streak of 6 straight 1,300 yard seasons, an NFL record. Since then, Holt has consistantly reached at least 1,300 yards every season through 2005.
Holt truly joined the NFL's elite receivers in 2003, when he led the league in catches with 117. He also set career highs for yards (1696) and touchdowns (12). Now with Isaac Bruce in the twilight of his career, Holt is the undisputed #1 among the Rams' receiving corps.
